List Building For Cash – How Do You Get Paid!

It’s time for your third list building for profit lesson.
In this lesson we are going to talk about how you will get
paid for your efforts.

How Do You Get Paid!

This is one of the most important things for you to learn
about when it comes to list building for profit. In this
lesson
we are going to talk about payment processors.

Before we start I want you to ask yourself this question.

How fast do you want to get your money?

This is a very important question that you should think
about before you begin promoting products to your list.

You will also need to decide if you are going to sell your
own products or promote affiliate programs – or both.

If you are sticking with promoting affiliate programs then
you will not need a payment processor, but that doesn’t mean
you can skip the rest of the lesson

Affiliate programs are great. However they do have a
downside.

When you promote affiliate programs you may have to wait
for your payment before you can start spending your hard
earned cash.

Although some commissions are instant, you should be
prepared to wait anywhere from 30 to 90 days before you
receive your commission pay outs through the affiliate
program you’ve promoted.

Now, if you are planning on selling your own products or
products with resale rights then you will need a payment
processor. I have compiled a list of reliable payment
processors below.

I could spend a whole lesson on the benefits of creating
your own products and promoting products that include resale
rights, but this lesson is about payment processors, so
I’ll be quick.

When you promote your own products or products with resale
rights the payout is usually immediate. And 100% of the
profits are all yours. This is like having an instant
payday whenever you want it.

Another benefit of having your own product is that you can
start an affiliate program or create your own joint venture
program.

This way you can get other people to promote it for you.
You can’t do that when you promote affiliate programs,
unless they are two tiered programs.

The moral of that side note is if you have your own
product you can have more control over your income.

Now that I have had my say about having and creating your
own products to sell let’s move on to the list of the most
common payment processors you can choose from:

PayPal.com

ClickBank.com

PayDotCom.com

http://www.paydotcom.com

All of the payment processors above have pros and cons.

For instance PayPal will not allow you to run a two tier
or split pay affiliate program, but they are great for
single product sales and reoccurring payments because
you’ll have access to your money right away.

They have other benefits, like free bank transfers and
detailed reports, plus you can get a debit card that will
allow you to use your funds just as you would from your
regular bank account.

ClickBank is great for accepting payments and by far the
easiest way to set up an affiliate program for your digital
products.

They pay your affiliates for you which makes it much
easier for you, but you have to wait until they send you a
check before you can start spending your money.

Another benefit is that your product (once accepted) will
be added to the ClickBank Marketplace, where it will be
exposed to hundreds of visitors everyday.

PayDotCom has some of the benefits of both Clickbank and
PayPal and they have many tools that make accepting
payments quick and easy.

One nice thing about using PayDotCom is that like
ClickBank your product will be displayed in their large
database of products and will be seen by people who will be
happy to promote it for you.

I don’t want you to feel limited to the three payment
systems above. There are more like:

These are just a few that you can check out. If you don’t
like those just do a search for payment processors and you
will find many more.

The important thing to remember is to take the time to
find a payment processor that fits your needs. They all have
different features, pros and cons. Take your time to make
the right decision for your business.

Simple Traffic Tactics – Lesson #3

Welcome to Lesson #3 in your short Simple Traffic Tactics

In the last lesson we talked about using the social sites
to get free traffic to your website. Today we are going to
talk about increasing your website traffic with blogs.

It is no secret that blogs can do amazing things for a
business. This is a very powerful tool that increase
traffic to your website in very little time.

By implementing some of the strategies below, you can do
this quickly and easily.

Reading blogs has become a hobby for millions, and they
use it to share information on various topics. If you can
hook these readers you could potentially have thousands of
website visitors everyday.

First of all, you need to be aware of the template used to
create the look of your blog.

You first need to create a header to be placed in the
center of the top of the page. This shows people quickly
what the blog is about and who is running it. This can be a
great hook to catch people from the first time they view
your site.

Choose carefully the look of your site because a person’s
initial impression will come solely from how aesthetically
pleasing your blog is.

If you do not want to take the time to create your own
template, you can find many templates available online that
are free or cost a very small amount.

Use your favorite search engine to find these templates
and look around until you find the one that is perfect for
you.

Next, you need to work on content for your site. But what
is content?

Content refers to the articles or postings that you write
and publish on your blog. You can use some sort of blogging
software that will help you in easily creating content and
publishing it.

You can also scour the internet for article sites that
will provide content at little or no cost and will allow
you to post these on your site.

Having relevant content will help your site maintain a
strong readership by always offering them something new and
interesting.

A good way to build interest to your blog is by posting on
similar, yet more popular blogs related to yours with a
link to your blog of course.

If you disagree with the blog’s editor, don’t be scared to
start a flaming war. This might encourage the blog’s editor
to respond and other onlookers to visit your blog to read
more of what you have to say.

If you completely agree with the blog’s editor and notice
that there are occasional guest posters on the blog, try to
contact the blog master to see if you can write a guest
post for them.

Finally, you can use pinging services to help draw people
to your website.

Pinging notifies the most popular search engines each time
you make a change to your blog. This helps to move your
blog up in the ranks of popular websites, making it higher
on the list of ones which viewers find first.

You can find a number of websites that offer pinging
services for free, so look around before selecting one.

There is no way to create a successful blog overnight. It
is a combination of hard work and interesting content.

If you take the time to create a unique template, write
strong content, and use available pinging services, you
will have no trouble increasing website traffic over time.

Above all, it is important to stay focused and not allow
yourself to get discouraged too quickly.

Once you build a readership you will be able to keep them
as long as you are regular with postings and make sure that
the information you provide is relevant.

In copywriting you may have heard that your message should always answer the question, “what’s in it for me” … your customer!  Here’s how to do that.

Despite everything we know:

We are all more susceptible to persuasion than we think

The essence of marketing is helping prospects make the right decisions — the decision to buy from YOU.  If you can get a handle on the emotional reasons your customers use to justify their decisions, then you can push those emotional hot buttons in all your printed materials, advertisements, and presentations, as well as in your face-to-face meetings and on your website.

One of the ways to transform your prospects to buyers is to understand that customers never want to be SOLD.  Would that apply to you too?  If it does, then half the battle is won already.  You’ll be able to put yourself in the shoes of your customer easier and answer the question “what’s in it for me”.

The not-so-smart marketer will try to answer that question by simply listing the features of a product.  But the smart marketer — usually by painting a compelling visual picture –explains how the features will benefit the consumer.

So in your sales copy, you may list features, but you’ll want to be sure to describe the benefits they offer.  That’s the way to answer “What’s in it for me.”

Consumers buy products and services for their reasons, not yours.  It’s the reason you’ll want to use the word “You” more than the word “We” in your messages.  When you present the benefits of your products or services, frame them with your prospects’ emotional interests in mind, not your own.

Adjust Your Focus from “Me” to “You”

You’ll be sure to capture your customer’s attention if you focus your marketing on their concerns.

To sell effectively, you need to be familiar with the full range of consumers’ feelings.  If you know why people buy products and services like yours…what makes them feel good about their decision…

You can highlight those reasons in your sales messages to make it more effective and practically irresistible.

When asked why they’re making a purchase, people generally say they’re motivated by one of these five key emotions:

Fear of Loss
Desire for Gain
Desire for Comfort
Pride
Desire for Personal Satisfaction

When your potential clients are all revved-up by the benefits offered by a feature of your product, you want to capitalize on that emotion immediately.

Also seize the opportunity by repeating a “Click here to order now” message or button several times throughout your offer.

Remember that the key to answering the question “what’s in it for me”, is to help THEM. Be sure you list the benefits they will gain once they start to use YOUR AMAZING PRODUCT!

List Building For Cash – What to Sell!

It’s time for your second lesson. I hope you found your
first lesson helpful and informative. Ok, lets jump right
in to your next list building for profit lesson right now.

What to Sell?

Now that we have covered how to start building your list the
next thing you need to have is something to promote to your
list. And not just any product will do.

The best types of products to sell are ones that:

1. Solves a problem that your subscribers may have.

2. Your subscribers will be interested in.

3. Is priced correctly for your target market.

Say for instance that your emails are geared towards
walking enthusiasts. You wouldn’t want to advertise a
“how to make decadent deserts” product to them, right?

Right!

It’s important to fit the product to your main topic of
discussion in your mailings.

If your subject matter is more of a broad scope, say for
example, Internet Marketing, you will want to promote
products that will help your subscribers raise their
earnings or success rate in this field.

A Word Of Caution!

Be Choosy. Don’t just promote anything. Remember, these
are real, live, thinking, breathing people. Take some time
to research the products you wish to promote first and see
if it’s right for your readers.

Consider if this is something you yourself would purchase
and the reasons why. Then relay this to your subscribers.
But do it in your own unique way.

If the particular product comes with a pre-written sales
copy, re-word it with your own style of writing. Offer
an incentive or bonus for ordering the product through you
that no one else can offer.

Did you know that if you just copy and paste a solo ad
that is pre-written it will lower your sales rate?

Why?

Because chances are you aren’t the ONLY one promoting “hot
ticket” items and your readers may not just receive your
newsletter or promotional mailings.

If this is the case, which most likely is, then your
readers will see multiple carbon-copy email promotions
for the same product from a dozen different sources.

So, being original counts for a lot.

If you don’t know what your subscribers are having trouble
with, run a survey or poll to find out.

Don’t be afraid to just come right out and ask them.
You’ll be surprised how many responses you’ll get. Those
responses are so very valuable to your profitability.

Without really knowing what your subscribers want, how
can you ever expect to give it to them?

Find out what hardships or troubles your subscribers are
having with regards to the topic, or subject matter, you
discuss. Only then can you expect to begin making money
from your list.

Plus, you don’t have to be the originator of the product(s)
you promote either. Ever heard of “Affiliate Marketing”?

If so, then you already know what’s coming next. If not,
it’s simply the process of advertising someone else’s
products and making a percentage of the price for your
promotional efforts.

To find out if a particular product first of all has an
affiliate program, take a peek at the product’s home page
or sales page and look for the mention of affiliates.
Usually this will be a link to a sign up page.

Finally when you are promoting products make sure
you choose products that fall into the right pricing scheme
for your subscribers.

If you are sending information on “how to save money”, you
certainly wouldn’t want to promote a $500 product. That
would be contradictory. Even though some people wouldn’t
consider this a selling point, remarkably it is.

are going to talk about how to generate free social traffic.

Nowadays getting your website included in the top search
engine results is not the only way to drive more traffic to
your website.

Search engine optimization still helps, but it’s not the
only alternative. With the growth and popularity of social
websites it’s important that your website gets a piece of
the social cake too!

Many people are still confused with what exactly makes up
social traffic, so understanding what makes up social
traffic is vital to your success with this traffic
generation method.

Social traffic generally includes traffic from social
media sites such as blogs, forums, and bookmarking websites
like Del.Icio.Us, Digg, Reddit, as well as social
networking websites like MySpace and Facebook.

Social traffic is generated more or less by the
preferences of other people since it is the users of
websites like Digg and MySpace that made the choice to link
to your website.

Now that you know where to get social traffic from, let’s
talk about some of the different things that will help you
to use it to your advantage.

- Know who you’re talking to!

It is easier to generate social traffic if you know what
particular market segment they represent.

Knowing who they are will consequently help you learn what
they may or may not like on your website. Then you can take
the necessary steps to ensure that your website is as
pleasing as possible to them.

- Make an impressive profile!

Most social networking websites let you create a profile.
Take advantage of this to let visitors know more about you,
and most importantly of all, use your profile page to
convince people to read more of your content.

- Social bookmark your blog posts!

Social bookmarking gives you an excellent way to get back
links pointing back to your blog very quickly. Therefore,
you should be bookmarking to social directories such as
Technorati, Digg, Stumbleupon, and Propeller.

Be sure and use a quality blogging platform such as
WordPress. They offer a terrific plug-in that makes social
bookmarking a blog post very simple.

Also go get a Twitter account and learn how to make
friends and use it to drive traffic to your blog. This is
fast becoming one of the top social sites online.

- Be the first!

This tip works best with social news websites like Digg
and Reddit.

It’s very important to be the first to write about the
latest topics concerning your websites industry. Ror
instance, if you’re selling pet supplies, then news like
purported toxic contents in a popular dog food brand would
be something you can certainly write about.

If you’re the first to write about it, more people will be
able to link to your work since it’s the first thing
they’ve seen and able to use as reference in their own
writings.

The greatest benefit you get from social sites is the
natural backlinks to your site. These links from a large
number of relevant sites will have a huge improvemnet in
your overall search engine rankings and result in an
increase in organic search traffic.

There is much more that we could discuss about social
sites such as FaceBook, My Space, Twitter and others, but
the bottom line is getting traffic with social marketing is
fast, free and all comes down to getting out there and
getting known.

So, take a little bit of time every day to work on your
social marketing campaign.

SKYPE – The Audio Interview Secret Weapon!

When it comes to conducting audio interviews that you may
want to use as an infoproduct, or to give away as a viral
product, DON’T use the telephone.

Hey, the telephone is great for what it was intended for,

List Building For Cash – Build a List of Prospects!

Welcome to the first lesson in List Building For Cash. In
each lesson that will help you learn the basics of list
building for profit.

This is your first lesson and today we will discuss the
steps you need to take to build a mailing list so you can
earn some extra cash for yourself and your family whenever
you need it.

We have a lot to cover, so lets get started!

STEP 1

How to Build a List of Prospects?

Did you know that it’s much easier to earn a profit from a
person that is already interested in what you have to offer?

Chances are, if someone has already signed up or “opted
in” to receive information from you, then they are willing
to
take a look at products and programs that you tell them
about.

So, if you want to make any type of steady income online,
the first thing you will need to do is create a mailing
list of subscribers.

Keep in mind the bigger your list is the more profitable
it will become, but for the purposes of this course,
beginning a list and getting a couple hundred subscribers
will do just fine and help you begin earning some extra
cash.

There are several ways to quickly build a list of
subscribers. I’m going to list a few ways to start below.

If you don’t understand some of the things that I mention,
don’t worry I will do my best to clear things up for you
over the next few lessons.

And remember if you have any questions you can contact me
at any time.

Here we go…

1. You will want to place a sign up form for your list on
your website, blog, and even your “About Me” Page on your
favorite social or auction website, like My Space or Ebay.

If you need help doing this it is best to check with your
autoresponder service as they should have complete
instructions. If you don’t have an autoresponder don’t
worry we will go over them later in the course.

2. There are specific list building programs, such as
Listopt.com and Listdotcom.com that you can use if you are
prepared to put in the work of building a down line of
subscribers. These can be very good.

3. You can do a joint venture. Once you have a list and
you are looking to get more subscribers then you can get in
touch with the owner of a similar list or ezine and make
arrangements to recommend each other to your lists to your
subscribers.

Keep in mind that most people don’t just sign up to just
one list so it could be a great arrangement for both of you.

4. Join a giveaway event. These are basically another form
of joint venture. They usually consist of several list
owners
banding together and offering one of their products for
free to any one who joins the event as a member.

This benefits you, as a contributor by requiring all of
the people that join the giveaway to give you their name
and email address so that they can download your gift.
These events can be very beneficial when building your list.

There are many other ways and places that will help you
build your list, but these suggestions should get you
started.

The main goal is to start a list of credible email
addresses that “opt-in” (which means they give you
permission) so you can send offers to them.

Using any of the three ideas above, or better yet, all of
them, will begin building your list.

Out of the four ways above the quickest way to get
subscribers is by joining a giveaway event.

You can find these by subscribing to free marketing
newsletters and by joining specialized marketing forums
such as The Internet Marketing Warrior Forum, Free
Advertising Forum, or IM4Newbies Forum.

You may also want to check out JV-Network.com. This is
great for finding good joint ventures.

When building your list it is a good idea to steer clear
of safe lists, mlm programs, or purchasing lists of email
addresses. These are not for the faint of heart!

If you don’t know what you’re doing these methods can
quickly get you into hot water and most of the time they
just don’t work!

Now let’s move on to how you will collect and manage your
list of email addresses.

You can do this by using an autoresponder system or
service. There are two main types of auto responders that
you can use.

1. A script that you run yourself from your own web space.

2 A service that you sign up for and pay a fee.

We’ll talk more about this in step # 4. For now, just know
that you need one to collect subscriber email addresses.

You can download a free script from Hotscripts.com
http://www.hotscripts.com or any of the other script sites
online. To find one just do a search for “autoresponder
script” in your favorite search engine.

If you prefer not to go through the lengthy and confusing
process of setting up your own mailing list script, then an
alternative is to go through a reliable paid service such
as AWeber.com or GetResponse.com.

As a matter of fact you can sign up for a free account so
that can test out the service before you spend any money.
This is a great way to get started when you’re on a budget.

Simple Traffic Tactics – Lesson #1

Welcome to the first lesson in our new series called
“Simple Traffic Tactics”.

In each lesson you will learn valuable information on how
you can successfully drive traffic to your websites.

In this first lesson we’re going to go over some of the
basic methods that you can use to start getting traffic to
your website right away.

I am assuming since you are in search of traffic that you
already have a website and you’re not getting the traffic
that you need to make it successful.

Building and maintaining a successful website requires
traffic as it’s the most essential part of a thriving
internet based business.

But getting the traffic your website needs is not always
as easy as you may think. After all, you are competing with
millions of other websites, and it’s a very competitive
business.

Just like with any business you need to be on your toes
and a step ahead of your competition.

Today we are going to briefly touch on the different basic
methods that you can use to help you start generating more
traffic for your site as quickly as possible.

First let’s talk a little bit about investing in paid
advertising with search engines.

This type of advertising is called pay per click
advertising and can be very effective when used properly,
however this type of advertising will cost you some money.

Two of the main pay per click programs are Google Adwords
and Yahoo’s Overture. They provide very popular advertising
structures that will allow you to quickly increase your
traffic flow.

These search engines allow you to purchase advertising on
a pay per click basis. With these you are in complete
control of your advertising budget, which means that you
get to choose how much you want to pay for clicks on your
ads.

The higher price you are willing to pay, the higher your
ad will rank on the search engine page. Every time someone
clicks on the ad you pay and they are taken to your webpage
and your traffic flow will increase.

Pay per click advertising does have a steep learning
curve, so please be advised that you should take the time
learn exactly how the program works before you begin
placing your ads.

Now let’s move on to viral marketing.

This type of marketing allows you to spread the word about
your website without investing a fortune in advertising.

This method allows you to attach your name, product or
link to media such as a educational or funny videos, an
informative article or ebook that are able to be given away
for free.

In turn, recipients of your free gift are allowed to pass
it along to their own clients, prospects, visitors and
others as a freebie.

This is a quick way to multiple your marketing at no extra
expense and without extra effort on your part. By using
viral marketing strategies, you can reach out all over the
internet with much less effort.

Another great way to get traffic to your website is by
writing and submitting articles.

You can submit your articles to directories or to other
websites and ezines that are on the same theme or topic as
your website.

Writing articles is a great way to get free traffic and
links to your website. It’s also an excellent way to build
your reputation as an expert in your field as well.

The key is to write informative articles and include a
link to your website in your resource box.

Today we have only briefly gone over some of the different
ways that you can get traffic to your website. In coming
lessons we will discuss in detail many different methods
that will help you get all the traffic that your site
deserves.
