Facebook can be a great source of traffic and for making money if not abused.
First, like other social media sites, it can be used best for building a brand. Brand building is essential in the modern  digital economy and Facebook is a great place to show the more human side to your business.

How to Make Money Online With Twitter

Twitter is front and center of most successful internet strategies these days and for good reason. Twitter is a so-called micro blogging platform where people send very short messages, called ‘tweets’ to their followers who have elected to follow them.

Twitter can be used to make money in several ways.

First and foremost, it can be used as a branding tool. If the recommendations and the content you provide in your tweets are good enough, you will develop a reputation as the man or woman who knows about that niche. This will result in more followers but also more visits to your main website.
If you have a large enough set of followers, you can refer people through affiliate links to buy relevant products. This is where the number s game comes in. If you have thousands of followers then tweeting about products in your niche could prove profitable.

However, this must be done with some care. Simply blasting out constant tweets with referrals and no content will result fairly quickly in your followers un-following you which can be a bind if you have taken a lot of time and trouble to build them in the first place.

The same rules apply to treating your followers that apply to an opt-in list of subscribers. They are on your mailing list, or following you because they believe they will benefit from it, not to benefit you. Both of you need to benefit to make the relationship work.
This means that you must offer good content regularly and often as well as your referrals. If your followers get a free report, an audio, some news in the niche and then a referral they are much more likely to take it seriously then if they only get referrals to buy things. Delete.

With these two big sites and with the help of automation, it’s easy to make money. Add more friends and followers then post good affiliate products using RSS feed and feed it with the help of tweetfeed. It’s what I’m using to post products with my affiliate links.
