You will not be able to promote the product’s full potential.

It is hard to promote too many products at the same time because researching and raving about many different products at the same time may only stress you out.

You affiliate yourself with baby products such as homemade cribs or strollers. You can rave about this subject because you constructed your own baby’s crib or stroller yourself. At the same time, you are a gaming enthusiast, you love poker and casinos. You have books on how to win betting on sports events and casino games.

You are a businessman and both interests have products you can promote. There you have it; you are affiliated to two different programs.

The traffic you have built through your baby product business will be shocked to be receiving an article or newsletter about poker and casino websites. Or the other way around, you failed to separate your mailing list, you mistakably sent the invitation to a baby starter program to your poker contacts.

This is of course a hypothetical example but I hope you get what I am trying to tell you. Do not promote many different products at the same time and ensure that your mailing list is separated into different niches. You do not want confusion that will loose the trust of your customers.

Focus on one and if you feel you are okay with it and you are ready for another affiliate program, do so with caution. Ensure that your mailing list will welcome your communication about another offer. You might want to start your campaigns by sending a survey to your mailing list. This will help you separate them by their interests and thus, you will be able to send them the offers that fit their interest.

Not buying or experiencing the product you are promoting

Even if you are an expert or have great interest in a certain niche very good for you. You can research about this subject and talk about it for hours. However, the technology when you are in college is different from the technology now that you are already supporting a son in college.

It is always wise to test the product for yourself before you promote it. This way, you will be able to review it well and communicate its benefit to your customers.

If you do not try the product and rely on the manufacturer’s statement, you may loose trust of your customers. You would not like to loose your traffic just because they feel you are deceiving them by talking a product that fails to deliver its promise. You experience in using this product will communicate your ability to tell them if this is the product for them or now. Let me reiterate again, you are marketing to intelligent people and thus your words will communicate your understanding. Failing on this may cause you to loose your customers trust.

If it is too uneconomical for you to buy it, you may need to check for forums where customers of the product or service post comments. Consider this as a last resort. You may also ask the manufacturer for free trial if it is possible.

This is to ensure that you will be able to rave about the product because you know it delivers its promise. Whatever issues it may have, you will be able to turn it around if you know the product is a good product.

It is always hard to be enthusiastic about a product if you do not know what it can do for its user. Enthusiastic marketer always gets the attention of customers.

It is the key to being profitable, being able to enthusiastically communicate to your target market the benefits of your product or the product you promote can give them.

Communicate their benefits and deliver that unique selling proposition. Use the keywords that helps describe the products and the same keywords that people in your niche will use to find such product.
