You are ready to generate campaigns and build your mailing list. However, how can you ensure that you will reach the people who are interested with your products or your affiliate products?

How do you know if there are people interested in your product or your niche market?

How do you do your niche research?

Think of the main keyword that will spell out your product or the affiliate product you are selling.

Think of as many keywords as possible.

Let us look at an example: You are a pet lover. You know much about dog training and this is the niche market you are entering.

You will research as much about dogs, dog training, and other dog service variations. Know how many websites and advertisements are in your niche. During your research, you will know which keywords are hot in your niche.

When an internet browser searches for your keyword, and you have successfully peppered your articles with it, then, your article will rank high on search engines. When the internet browser clicks on your article, he will see the advertisements and when he clicks, that is a signal that this is a targeted customer.

Now, you do this based on your product or service. However, if you do not have a product, you will still be able to earn from a niche research by researching products you have knowledge of and affiliating yourself with it it.

What Is Affiliate Marketing And Why It Is Profitable?

What is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate Marketing is the online marketing term used to mean profit sharing or revenue sharing. It works by publishing an advertising banner or link in the affiliate’s website. Anyway, Clickbank.com is the most popular website for affiliate marketers. Why? Because most affiliate marketers get a product to promote from Clickbank.com’s marketplace.

If the merchant gives some marketing materials to promote their site then use it. Sometimes they will give you an article, blog content, banners, autoresponder emails, complete website, videos and press release content. So if you see a banner or an ecover image then find out what is the location of that image. By right clicking the image you will see the correct location of the image (banner or ecover image).

When you know the correct location of the image then copy it. Example, if the image location is http://themerchantdomain.com/images/ecover.gif then if you want to use that and make it clickable then this is what you need :

Don’t forget to change the affiliateid into your own affiliate id from Clickbank.com when you signup and change the merchantid into the Clickbank id of the merchant.

Be sure to cloak or hide your affiliate link so no one can hijack your affiliate commissions. You can use the service of http://www.tinyurl.com for this.

If you don’t have an affiliate id then you need to signup with Clickbank.com.

Types of Affiliate Programs

  • PayPerClick, the affiliate marketer receives revenue when a customer clicks the link leading to the manufacturer’s website.

  • PayPerSale, the affiliate marketer receives revenue when a customer purchase a product advertised in the affiliate marketer’s website.

  • PayPerLead, this is where affiliate marketer receives a commission on every lead generated by the advertisement on his website.

PayPerClick Affiliate Program

PayPerClick is an affiliate program that is easy to get revenue from. You will get a commission from all clickthroughs from your website leading to the manufacturer’s website. The commission from the impressions made manufacturer’s website may be quite small, on an average you will only .25% to 1% commission from the clickthroughs. This program constitutes only 1% of Affiliate Program profitability.

My favorite PayPerClick affiliate program is Google Adsense of Google.com. I use this only to my sites that have large traffic but the product is possibly saturated and most of the information can be get for free. Imagine if you have 1,000 visitors and the ads was located in the center of your website then if you get at least 50 clicks on it and the niche you researched paid at least $0.5 per click then you can have $25 per day per site. So, you need to research a keyword that pays at least a dollar to get at least $50 a day per site. So if you earn $50/per site per day then that means you can earn $1500 per month per site. Did you know that some people pay more than $50 per click. It was crazy but it’s true.

Be smart in researching the keywords you use in your site because Google displays ads depend on your topic. The topic with high pay per click values are technology, surgery, financial related and health problems like cancer.

PayPerSale Affiliate Program

PayPerSale is the most profitable affiliate program. Eighty percent of affiliate earnings come from PayPerSale Affiliate Programs. Customers clicking from the affiliate website needs to make a purchase before the affiliate marketer can get compensation. In most cases, pay ranges from 20% to 75% commission in every sale. It is therefore important that your website visitor do not only click but actually purchases a product from the manufacturer’s portfolio.

This one is my favorite. Imagine if the product you choose is $97 and the commission is 75% then you could earn $72.75 per sale and if you have one sale per day then you could earn $2,182.5. Just select a good product. Check the merchant’s website if it is a professional site, if the site is designed well and if the site sale letter can convert your visitor into a buyer.

PayPerLead Affiliate Program

PayPerLead is another affiliate program. 10% of affiliate marketers use this method. Customers need to do a certain action before revenue may be given to the Affiliate Marketing. It is therefore necessary that you send targeted clients to the manufacturer’s website to get a good compensation from this Affiliate Program.

I like FriendFinder.Com for this program because every signup I could earn at least a dollar. If the member I sent is a woman then FriendFinder will pay me $2 and if I sent them a man then they will pay me a dollar per signup. You can get more payperlead programs at cj.com.

Here’s the information about FriendFinder, the date as I type this:

FriendFinder is the largest online dating personals site with 2,003,040 registered members and award-winning content. This site is targeted toward singles looking for love, romance, and even marriage. It’s an excellent revenue generating program for any website.

Get a flat $25.00 for every order, regardless of the purchase amount (starts at $19.95) or up to 100% of the membership fees (between $19.94 and $139.95 plus bonus) or $2.00 for every woman and $1.00 for each man who signs up for free!

To summarize, if you want to become a profitable affiliate marketer, you will need to ensure that you choose the most profitable Affiliate Marketing Program. You may benefit from joining other less profitable affiliate programs to find targeted customers.

Again, you cannot wait for profit to come in. If you want to become profitable, you will need to reach the niche that will surely buy the product you advertise in your website.

4 Killer Tips To Improving Your PPC Results

If you use PPC as part of your overall marketing, here are
a few things that are *vitally* important when it comes to
creating a profitable campaign:

1 – Exploit all the low priced traffic you can.

Use as many synonyms, misspellings and localized keywords
as you can to increase traffic. If you use uncommon
keywords you can often bid very low prices (5 & 10 cents)
and drive more cheap traffic to your site.

Using localized keywords that identifies city and/or
state, eg fish tanks in Olando, will often allow you to
receive very targeted traffic for much lower costs.

Also, don’t rely purely on broad match keywords. You can
triple your keyword count by using “phrase” and [exact]
match. And the bonus is that you can pay less for these
keywords :-)

Using these techniques you can often turn a small list of
50-60 keywords and turn it into 1,000 or more!

2 – Always split-test and tweak your ads!

In most cases, by testing and tweaking your ads you can
increase your click-through rates from an average of 1% up
to 10% just by making a few changes. This alone gives you
up to 10 times more traffic.

All you need do is create 2 separate ads with a single
change and test which one performs the best. Then create
and test another ad against the best performing one to see
if you can improve your results.

For example, my testing has found that removing the “www”
and capitalizing the first letters in your domain name can
have a remarkable impact on your results, eg DomainName.com

If it wasn’t for testing and tweaking I would have never
realized this and I would have continued to leave profits
on the table.

3 – Disable the Content Network option!

When you first create your campaign, disable the content
network to improve your conversions and reduce your costs.

Then when you’ve tested and tweaked you ad to obtain
acceptable results, enable the content network for your
keywords, but bid a much lower price than you would for
keywords on the search network.

As a rule of thumb use 30% of the amount you bid for
keywords on the search network. This way you can increase
your traffic and build your profits, but at a much lower
cost.

4 – Never send visitors directly to an affiliate site!

Above all, you must ALWAYS capture your visitors contact
details BEFORE sending them to the affiliate website.

Do this by registering your own domain name and then place
a capture page on this site to entice your visitors to join
your list by offering them information relating to your
topic. When they sign up then you can forward them to the
affiliate site.

Not only can you contact them at a later date to help
convince them to purchase your chosen affiliate product,
you can also offer them other related products at a later
stage. If you do this, you can double or triple your
profits virtually overnight.

10 Tips for Writing Copy That Gets Proven Results!

Sales copy is the unpaid, untiring salesperson for your
product. Make them effective and they will reward you. If
they are ineffective you are leaving truckloads of money on
the table. Try the following tips to make the most of your
salesmen-in-print.

1. Analyze other people’s sales copy. If you receive an
email or read a sales letter and you are tempted to buy-
file it away. When you next have to write a sales letter
get the file out and look for inspiration.

2. For each retained sales letter or email copy examine
the wording, the layout, the offer and how it is presented.
You can even make notes on the parts of the sales copys
that did not persuade you to buy. What did they do wrong?
How could they be improved?

3. Include testimonials in the copy. Comments from
official sources outside your company or from satisfied
customers will greatly add to the proof your prospect needs
to become interested in your product or service.

4. One often-neglected part of the sales copy is the order
or request form at the end of the copy. Make it clear,
attractive and easy to complete. If possible restate the
offer so that the customer is in no doubt about what they
are ordering.

5. Make it easy for the prospect to contact you. If
practical, include a contact address, email and fax number
as well as a contact phone number.

6. When they first see sales copy many people scan the
headline or subject line, then go to the bottom of the page
to read the PS. This is because the PS often summarizes the
offer. So make sure your PS does this.

7. If you feel you need more than one PS to fully give the
benefits you are offering use more. How do marketers know
more P.S.’s work better than two? Testing.

8. If possible test everything in your sales copy. A
change to your offer, the price, the typeface or how a
customer is encouraged to respond can each make a
difference to your response rates.

9. If you do not have the time or resources to test
everything then at least test different headlines. A change
in headline can double the response or better.

10. Take some time to analyze and test the results of your
copy. How many sales did you make? Did you meet your
target? If not, why?

If you find your sales letter cannot sell your product or
service then either it is too complicated for your
customers to understand or you have not expressed the
benefits well enough. The only way to establish the reason
is to test, test and then test some more.

Variety in Your Marketing is the Key to Success!

If you have already started your online business you
already know the huge potential email marketing offers.
However, you also likely realize it is unreasonable to
expect your business to thrive if email marketing is the
only marketing strategy you choose to build your business.

This is not unusual as most businesses do not typically
have a great deal of success unless they make the decision
to incorporate more than one type of promotion into their

Email marketing in itself can be multi-faceted. It may

Similarly it is definitely worthwhile incorporating other

Some of the other marketing strategies you may wish to
employ include banner ads, participating in niche related
forums and starting an affiliate program.

Of these types of marketing, placing banner ads can be the
most expensive option. In many cases your business will
have to pay another website for the privilege of placing
your banner ad on their website.

Choosing a website which sells products which complement,
without competing, for your business is worthwhile.
However, there are some free options for banner ads
including exchanges.

This normally works by having to receive 2 or 3 banner
impressions on your own webpages each time your banner ad
appears on another persons site. Additionally, you may not
be able to control the type of website which displays your
banner ad. For this reason it is worthwhile to pay for ad
space so you can have more control over where your ads are
displayed.

Participating in niche forums or message baords can be
another way to promote your business online. Message boards
are online meeting place where likeminded people who share
a common interest meet to discuss issues and to provide
help to each other.

Most forums allow users to place a link to their website
in their signature line. If you regularly participate on an
these forums and include a signature line with a link to
your website you can reach a high concentration of members
of your target audience.

Just remember that when using forums or message boards to
promote your business it is important to follow all the
guidelines and to avoid techniques which may be deemed as
spam, such as posting your link when it is not appropriate.

Affiliate marketing programs are another type of online
marketing which can be used in conjunction with email
marketing. This involves allowing website owners to promote
your business to their list or to place your product on
their website.

These website owners are known as affiliates. Each time
one of their advertisements causes a visitor to purchase
your product, the affiliate is paid a commission. This
makes affiliate marketing incredibly cost effective as
essentially you do not pay for your advertising unless your
affiliates generate specific actions from their visitors,
such as making a purchase.

An often overlooked benefit of this strategy is that you
can use embedded codes to track your sales to determine
which promotional strategies are most effective. This
information can then be used to tweak your marketing
tactics for maximum profits.
