You’ll also be less stressed-out as you try to keep up with changes in each particular method.  Social media marketers, for example, are now trying to keep up in the changes wrought by Google+–you don’t have to worry about that if you’re busy hammering the article angle at the moment.

The main problem internet marketers generally face is a sort of paralysis that comes with not knowing what to do.  Picking a method and sticking with it allows your internet marketing to overcome that paralysis.  Diversification is good for stock portfolios, but it’s not always the best strategy for someone trying to build an internet empire.

You may need to make some minor changes, tweaks and fixes. $1 per article doesn’t give a lot of motivation to the writer if it takes him $1 to write it. Still, you can get some quality and motivated writers. Just remember that nothing is for free. Paying more per article will save you some time, paying less may require extra time for selecting appropriate writer, and fixing the article later on. It’s up to you what you value more. 1. Do extensive keyword research in order to find long tail, low competition keywords
2. Write your article about this keyword
3. Use this keyword in your title, summary, in your first paragraph, last paragraph, and 2-3 times inside your article. It’s a good idea to repeat your keyword 2-5 times per article.
4. Build backlinks to this article in order to gain unfair advantage over your competition
5. Repeat the process for the new keyword

How to find long tail, low competition keywords?

Go to https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal and type some general keyword around your site/product you want to promote. For example ‘herbal remedies’. Check ‘Only show ideas closely related to my search terms’. On the left menu select [Exact] in Match Types. Now Sort the keywords by local monthly searches. Here is what I got:

Herbal remedies keyword is getting 9,900 exact searches a month. Let’s type this keyword on Google. There are 12,400,000 results. Quite a lot! Now let’s put it in quotes, so search for “herbal remedies”. Using quotes will give a much better representation of the competition. I got 22,700,000 results. In most cases you’ll see a much lower number for long tail keywords.

Let’s check this keyword: chinese herbal remedies. It’s getting 590 searches a month. The competition on Google without quotes is 10,200,000 and with quotes only 159,000! Now that’s a much better number.

Your job will be to look for the keywords with the most searches and the lowest with quotes competition on Google. These keywords will be easy to rank on Google and you should easily get on the first page.

Look for keywords with at least 500 exact local searches/month and <100,000 competition with quotes.
